Here is where I will put at least the previous day's post for those of you who missed it the first time.

9/27/03 10:50 pm I linger in the doorway of alarm clock screaming monsters calling my name. Let me stay where the wind will whisper to me, where the raindrops as they're falling tell a story. In my field of paper flowers and candy clouds of lullaby, I lie inside myself for hours and watch my purple sky fly over me. Don't say I'm out of touch with this rampant chaos- your reality. I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge, the nightmare I built my own world to escape. In my field of paper flowers and candy clouds of lullaby, I lie inside myself for hours and watch my purple sky fly over me. Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming; cannot cease for the fear of silent nights. Oh, how I long for the deep sleep dreaming, the Goddess of imaginary light. Well, the wedding went well. It wasn't perfect, but nothing horrible happened and that's what matters.

It has been such a long time since I posted. I'm sick right now and hyped up on Contac. It makes my head feel like it's floating...Whee!

My grandmother is moving to an assisted living place. I'm glad. I worry about her, though I don't go see her like I should. She can take care of herself, but after a stroke and dizzy spells where she fell and laid on the floor of her living room for 22 hours before anyone knew, she needs to be in a place where people will be around 24/7. I hope she likes this place. I know she's worried about going to a home like her mother did where the care was bad and she wasn't treated well, but this isn't like that. She'll have her own apartment and everything. I really hope she likes this place.

Damn, I haven't updated this thing since the end of April. Well, a LOT of stuff has happened since then. Let's start from the beginning.

My car got broken into at our apartment in Muskegon. Some jack-off smashed the driver's side window in. At first glance, it didn't look like anything had been stolen. My radio was there and looked untouched. I couldn't figure out why someone would do that. Oh, and of course, it was raining that morning that I discovered this (it was a Monday morning, too, of course). So, I called the police and he came out, took all my info and then said that there really wasn't anything they could do. I said ok and went to call my insurance just to double check that they wouldn't cover it. While i was doing that, the officer came back and came up to our apartment. He said, "Are you aware that there is a warrant out for your arrest?" Gerry was in such a state of shock I don't think he was even breathing. I just looked at him in shock for a moment and said, "No. What's it for?" "It's a bench warrant, so it's state wide. It's for failure to appear in court." "Appear in court for what?" "It doesn't say. Do you have any tickets?" "I haven't had any tickets in a long time.........So, what do we do? Do you have to take me in?" "Well, it's a $500 bail. I'm supposed to, it's officer's discretion. I trust you'll go in and take care of this?" "Oh, yeah." So, he told us where to go and we went to the courthouse. I went up to the window and said, "Hi, I think there's a warrant out for my arrest." The woman looked up my records and couldn't find anything. "But the officer told me." So, we went down to the police department after that. The woman there looked up my records and didn't find anything either. BUT she did find that a woman with the same first name and "ss" in her last name rather than "sh" was the one with the warrant out for her. We went back to the apartment and I was on the phone with Gerry's mom when we saw the cop pull into the parking lot. So, I went running down. He said, "I owe you a big apology." "That's ok. I'm just glad it turned out alright." He was a really nice guy. Can you imagine what a pain in the ass it would have been if he had taken me in? Well, after all that, I finally discovered what they stole: my paperback book. If I'm reading a paperback and I'm going to be taking it around with me, I put it in a black book cover. I guess sitting there on the seat it looked like a purse. Bastards, I was halfway through with that book!

Later that same day, I discovered just how badly I had hurt my back at work the previous day and ended up having to go to the doctor. It was so bad, I couldn't move without screaming. Work covered it. I was on muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory drugs for a few weeks.

Also later that same day, we decided that we were going to move. We had known about an apartment in Grand Haven that someone Gerry knows was renting. We had been a little wishy-washy on it, but after the car situation, we decided to get out of Muskegon. So, we moved to Grand Haven. This is much nicer. I'm closer to school and I'm closer to work.

Oh, and since I haven't really gotten any response from the comics page, I'm going to dump it, I think. If you want it there and you want the updates, email me and let me know, otherwise it'll be gone by next week.

Ok, here I am...updating my website...umm....hmm...

Started track practice for the Spring Lake middle school boys' track team. I'm Gerry's incredibly capable and organized assistant...no, seriously...stop laughing! I helped him when he coached last year and have learned a few things from that experience and hope to make things run a little smoother this year.

On the wedding plans front...there is nothing new to report. I haven't really planned much else. We've kind of hit a lull. I have one bridesmaid fitted (and she's now in Japan for the next 3 months) and am uncertain that one of the tuxedo vest colors is going to match one of the dresses. ::sighs::

Roar! is on tonight on Sci-Fi channel! I missed it last week...::looks at calendar:: Dammit, looks like I'm going to miss it again this week. Gerry has a playoff hockey game tonight. ::starts to twitch in Heath Ledger withdrawals; looks at her posters and the symptoms subside::

www.dorktower.com is another best website in the known universe. For anyone who is a gamer, tech geek, computer geek, or just a geek, Dork Tower is totally awesome! You must go there now...::waves hand as she uses the Jedi mind trick::

There is a lot of stuff going on in comic book land. I think I'll make a page devoted to what's going on in the latest issues of my favorite comics and spare those of you who are not comic oriented from my mad ramblings. ::grins:: So, keep an eye out for that page to pop up!

Rinse

She'd do anything to sparkle in his eye
She would suffer, she would fight, and compromise
She's been wishin' on the stars that shine so bright
For answers to questions that will haunt her tonight
She must rinse this all away
She can't hold him this way
She must rinse this all away
She can't love him this way
How she'd be soothed, how she'd be saved if he could see
She needs to be held in his arms to be free
But everything happens for reasons that she will never understand
'Til she knows that the heart of a woman will never be found in the arms of a man
And if she runs away she fears she won't be followed
What could be worse than leaving something behind
And as the depth of oceans slowly become shallow it's loneliness she
finds...
If only he was mine
She'd do anything to sparkle in his eye
She would suffer, she would fight, and compromise
She's been wishin' on the stars that shine so bright
For answers to questions that will haunt her tonight
She must rinse him
She can't rinse him
She can't, she won't, she must rinse him
She must rinse this all away
She can't hold him this way
She must rinse this all away
She can't love him this way
